Going With The Flow
48” x 48” • Graphite and acrylic on birch wood panel. SOLD - The Other Art Fair Chicago to a great guy who stared at it all night and finally made the purchase at the very end. He hung it up the next morning. I'm so glad this piece went to someone that seemed to truly fall in love with it.
Mistaken Identity
SOLD - 24” x 24” x 2 “ Mixed media in graphite and acrylic on wood panel. Painted insect detail adds interest and contrast to this fragmented piece. The mystery here is the mistaken identity of the caterpillar. The Hummingbird Moth information is incorrect in much of the online reference material. Most show the Hummingbird Moth caterpillar as the Tobacco Moth appearance as in this artwork. They are very similar. That’s the mistaken identity. This shows the wrong caterpillar for the Hummingbird Moth. • Subtle black with chewed leaves branches painted wood sides. • Wired back for hanging.

Saignée is Tired
SOLD - 12” x 9” Acrylic on wood panel • With decorative wood frame and wire on back for hanging.
Saignée is Tired is inspired by the grape vine frame. She is also wearing a pink top which is the color of rosé wine (made from grapes). But I wanted her to feel special and name her Saignée (pronounced sohn-yay) which is fancier than a rosé wine name. And she does look tired.
Quote from Winefolly.com - Saignée means “to bleed,” and it also describes a method of rosé winemaking that involves “bleeding” off a portion of red wine juice after it’s been in contact with the skins and seeds. Saignée is considered a byproduct of red winemaking because its primary function is to increase the concentration of red wines. Still, Saignée is a unique style of rosé wine because it is so often bolder and darker in color than any other rosé wine.
